India is magical.
India offers travelers a wealth of natural wonders and diverse landscapes, from the towering peaks of the Himalayas to the serene expanse of the Ganga river. Its vast and largely unexplored coastline features countless stunning beaches, while the salt flats of the Rann of Kutch and the enigmatic Thar Desert provide a contrast to the lush wilderness. Spot the majestic tigers of the Sundarbans and the proud lions of Gir Forest National Park, emblematic of India's rich wildlife heritage.
As one of the world's oldest civilizations, India's history dates back to the 3300 BCE, when the Indus Valley Civilization was flourishing. What's truly fascinating about this civilization is its peaceful nature; despite spanning an impressive 1.5 million square kilometers, there's no evidence of wars fought for territorial expansion. The ruins are now worth a visit.
From ancient times to the present day, each Indian state has its own unique story. The kingdoms of the past have left behind a treasure trove of resplendent palaces, formidable forts, and awe-inspiring monuments. Delhi, the nation's capital, is said to have been rebuilt seven times, with each emperor adding their mark to the mosaic of the city, making it a place worth exploring over several days.
We invite you to visit Varanasi, considered the oldest living city in the world, and discover its spiritual heritage. India’s harmonious blend of religions adds to its unique cultural fabric. Predominantly a Hindu nation, the country is dotted with temples of immense historical, religious, and aesthetic significance. The Buddhist pilgrimage site of Bodh Gaya and the awe-inspiring Golden Temple of Sikhism in Amritsar are must-visits. In Delhi, you can find a street where a Gurudwara, a Jain temple, a church, and a mosque coexist within 200 meters, epitomizing India's spirit of unity in diversity.

India boasts of a rich cultural tapestry, with a dazzling array of music and dance styles. From the vibrant beats of Bollywood to the unique classical and folk traditions of each state, music and dance festivals dot the nation, each more captivating than the last.
With 22 official languages and thousands of dialects, India’s linguistic diversity is truly remarkable.
The traditional handloom and handicrafts of India are exquisite and luxurious. Stroll through the lanes of Varanasi, where you might meet the fifth-generation heir of a Banarasi saree weaving family, or explore Kanchipuram’s famed Kanjeevaram silks. Whether it’s the Phulkari of Punjab, the Patola of Gujarat, the Paithani of Maharashtra, or the Kalamkari of Andhra, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
And then, there’s the food! India's culinary delights are as diverse as its landscape, with flavors that change every 200 kilometers. From roadside dhabas offering pocket-friendly meals to 10-course Michelin-style fine dining experiences, India caters to every palate.
All you need to do is come and experience it for yourself!
The mad.
Navigating a country of 1.43 billion people can feel like an adventure in itself. There are people absolutely everywhere!
Our roads are a delightful jumble of vehicles: from enormous buses and trucks to cars, motorcycles, and even three-wheelers. Let’s not forget the cycle rickshaws, bicycles, and the occasional road roller and excavator thrown in for good measure. Oh, and bullock carts, too.
If you’re having a particularly interesting day, you might even spot an "enterprising" soul taking his elephant out for a spin.
Sharing the roads with all these vehicles are our beloved street dogs, cats, and the occasional nonchalant cow or two. In the midst of this wonderfully chaotic scene, it's not unusual to spot a Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes, Audi, or BMW gliding gracefully along.
Your experience on Indian roads? Well, that just depends on the kind of day you’re having!
"On my recent visit to India i travelled with My India Story. The plan included Delhi and Agra. Both cities were amazing. The seamless planning was commendable. Nidhi also managed to get a last minute booking into Bukhara, one of the top 50 restaurants. And the food was exceptional."

"I recently travelled to Bangalore and Mysore and Nidhi helped plan everything. I requested an early morning walk at Cubbon Park and she immediately changed the time to accommodate the same. That was great. At Mysore we even went to Chamundi Temple. Being a weekend it was crowded and took more than expected time, but the driver patiently waited and ensured I had a peaceful time."

"My India Story planned my family’s trip to Hampi. The planning was detailed and everything we wanted to cover was included. What I loved most was their acceptance to last minute changes in itinerary. We included a bear sanctuary and a visit to the Tungabhadra dam. For a minimal charge and a smile the plan was altered to include these. Definitely recommend their services.

"Nidhi planned my holiday in Delhi. She had been telling me to visit Delhi like a tourist for quite a while. When I finally did, I figured why! Delhi is beautiful - full of history, food, shopping… just everything a great holiday must have! The best of it was when Nidhi herself travelled along. She took care of every detail."

Last December we travelled to Kerala (Kochi, Kumarakom and Munnar) with My India Story. Despite our dates getting finalised as late as November, when we learned that most of the places were sold out, they somehow ensured we got decent places. The resort in Kumarakom was amazing.
We faced a little issue with our vehiclde while travelling from Kumarakom to Munnar (it can happen to anyone!) and despite us not asking for anything, My India Story refunded some of our money. Just little gestures like this ensure we will always plan our travels with them henceforth.

We went for the Sacred Spirit Festival - an amazing music festival - at Jodhpur. Nidhi and her team planned the entire thing for us. The festival was amazing as was the rest of our trip. All we wanted was a great music festival, good food and some shopping. And that was all included perfectly. We had yummy kachories for breakfast, a complete Rajasthani meal at Gypsy and shopped so much at Nai Sarak. Will definitely be planning more trips with My India Story.

We had just a weekend in Ahmedabad. It’s a UNESCO world heritage city! With a limited time we wanted to cover everything that the city has to offer, and yet not be rushed. Tough? Not for My India Story. They managed to include the Gandhi Ashram, a walk on the river front, Adalaj. We also had some great Gujarati food. Oh and the shopping was amazing - we bought some Patola sarees too. Thank you, Nidhi.

Rameshwaram was such a lovely holiday. A bit of the spiritual, a lot of the beach - one of the most unique and picturesque beaches. Nidhi helped plan it so well, from the hotel, to the visit to the temple, the beach and everything. Last minute we decided to do another visit to the beach and also a visit to the APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial. And it was added to our itinerary with a smile. That’s what I love most about My India Story they accommodate your whims.

I did a second trip with My India Story. This time to Mysore and a Jungle Lodges place at Bheemeshwari. Both were a delight. While there are a number of good resorts in and around the area, the suggestion by Nidhi to go this specific one was great, because their naturalists are very knowledgeable. During an evening safari they showed us several birds and trees (sadly we didnt sight any animals) but just driving through the jungle was a unique experience! I am an indophile, going to more India trips with you, Nidhi!

The Kochi Biennale is absolutely amazing. So many artists from across the world come together to express themselves. This is set up across several venues in Fort Kochi. My India Story organised the trip for us. My brief to them was we wanted to visit each art venue, eat good food, and buy spices! This was perfectly curated by the team. The best part is we weren’t rushed from place to place, which is critical when you’re at an art festival. We’re looking forward to more such trips.
